How each asks for sign-off

Both send work to named people and keep what they decide. Ziflow's side is from its own pages.

Skybase

Ask for approval on any job: choose the files, name who approves and set a due date. Each approver reviews from their own link in the email without signing in, pins comments on images, PDF pages and video, and chooses Approve, Approve with changes or Request changes. Reminders go out on their own, a new version asks again, and your team can check the work before the client is asked.

Ziflow

Its pricing page says “An unlimited number of people both inside and outside your organization can review and approve your proofs.” On Standard, “Up to 2 workflow stages can be run sequentially or in parallel within the same workflow.”, and for deadlines, “Ziflow will automatically send a message to reviewers when a deadline has passed.”

The approval sits on the job

In Skybase, files are signed off on the job they belong to, beside its tasks, comments and due date, so nothing is copied between a proofing tool and a project tool. Everything is on every plan, the Free plan included.

What reviewers and clients cost

Neither charges for the people who only review. The difference is what they join.

Skybase

An approver from the client joins your workspace as a single-project guest, free on either plan, and reviews from the link in each email. They see that project and the people on it, and can comment, upload and approve the work they're asked to approve. Add the same person to a second project and they count as a user.

Ziflow

Its pricing page says “You can have unlimited reviewers on any edition. A user license is only required to create and manage proofs.” The users each plan includes are the people who create and manage proofs.

What Ziflow does that Skybase doesn't

A dedicated proofing tool goes further on review. If your team relies on any of these, Skybase isn't the right fit today.

  • Reviewers without a licence: “A user license is only required to create and manage proofs.” On Skybase, a client approver joins your workspace, free, as a single-project guest.

Is Skybase cheaper than Ziflow?
For a team of 10, at list prices billed annually and checked on 20 October 2026, Skybase Pro is $399.00 a year and Ziflow Standard, its cheapest paid plan, is $2,388.00: 83% less. Ziflow Standard includes 15 users and sells more in packs at a price it doesn't list, so the comparison stops there. Skybase is free for up to 5 users.
Do reviewers and clients cost extra?
Not on either. On Skybase, a client on one project is a free single-project guest, on either plan. On Ziflow, “You can have unlimited reviewers on any edition. A user license is only required to create and manage proofs.”
How do approvals work in Skybase?
Choose the files on a job, name who approves and give it a due date. Each approver reviews from their own link in the email without signing in, pins comments on images, PDF pages and video, and chooses Approve, Approve with changes or Request changes, with a note for the last two. Upload a new version and everyone is asked again, with earlier versions and their decisions kept.
Can I import my proofs from Ziflow?
No. There's no importer for Ziflow, so you start with your next piece of client work. Finish the proofs already running there, and start the next one in Skybase.
What does Ziflow do that Skybase doesn't?
It reviews live websites and audio, has Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud plugins, runs more review stages on its higher plans, compares versions pixel by pixel and has more storage. Its Enterprise plan adds SAML single sign-on, electronic signatures, white labelling and ReviewAI. If your team relies on any of these, check which Ziflow plans include them on its pricing page.
