Kanban for agencies: a board your team and clients will use
How to set up a kanban board for agency work: columns for stages, statuses for states, job types, priorities and due dates that everyone can read.

Every job in the project, in rows you can sort.
The board shows how work flows. The table answers everything else: what's critical, who's overloaded, what's due this week. The same jobs as the board, one click away.
Every job, not the first few
Choose Table at the top of a project and it lists every live job in it, up to 2,000, not just the first few in each column.
The Northwind Rebrand jobs as a table grouped by priority: Critical, Important, Normal and Low groups with their counts, columns for title, status, priority, assignee, due date and tasks, and an Export CSV button. The saved view “My critical jobs” is on screen. “Brand guidelines v3”, three days overdue, is raised from Important to Critical and moves into the Critical group.
Edit in place
Rename a job, set its status, priority, assignee, collaborators or due date from the row itself. Work through the list from the keyboard, and act on many jobs at once.
Choose the pencil beside a title or press F2. Enter saves and Esc cancels. Each column group has its own Add job row.
j and k move between jobs, o opens one and x selects it. Shift-click a checkbox to select everything between it and the last one you clicked.
With jobs selected, the same bar as the board offers Move to, Assign to, Set status, Set priority and Archive.
Drag a row to reorder it when the table is grouped by column and not sorted. Any other grouping or a sort turns dragging off, and the table says so.
Export to CSV
Export CSV downloads the table as you've arranged it: your filters, sort, grouping and visible columns. It includes groups you've collapsed and rows behind Show more, so nothing is left out. Grouped tables add a Group column, every row ends with a link to its job, due dates are written as dates and tasks come as done and total.
Save the layout you use
Your columns and grouping follow your account to any device, and the sort is kept for each project. Save a filtered table under Views and it keeps its columns, grouping and sort, for you or for everyone on the project.
The saved views menu, open under “Viewing: My critical jobs (edited)” with an Update button beside it. It lists My views (My critical jobs, Due this week, shared) and views Shared with project by Leo Ortiz and Priya Shah, options to rename, share or delete the view on screen, and “Save current view…”.
FAQ
The board, table and calendar guide covers the table step by step. The same jobs also show on the calendar, and Reports adds them up.
