Saved views and filters

Filters narrow a project to the jobs you care about right now. A saved view keeps them, along with the table's layout, so you can come back in one click.

Updated 2 min read

The saved views menu, open under “Viewing: My critical jobs (edited)” with an Update button beside it. It lists My views (My critical jobs, Due this week, shared) and views Shared with project by Leo Ortiz and Priya Shah, options to rename, share or delete the view on screen, and “Save current view…”.

Filter a project

The filters sit at the top of the board, the table and the calendar, and stay on as you switch between them.

Members
Jobs a person is assigned to or collaborating on.
Statuses
Jobs in one or more statuses.
Priorities
Critical, Important, Normal or Low.
Due date
Overdue, Due today, Due this week (today and the six days after) or No due date.

Tip: Clear all removes every filter at once.

Save a view

  1. Step 1: Set up the filters you want. In the table, also choose the columns, grouping and sort.

  2. Step 2: Choose Views, then Save current view….

  3. Step 3: Give it a Name. Turn on Share with the project if everyone on the project should see it.

  4. Step 4: Choose Save.

A view remembers whether it is a board, table or calendar and which filters it uses. A table view also keeps its columns, grouping and sort.

Tip: Filter Members by yourself before you save a shared view and it shows each person their own work: a saved view reads your own name as whoever opens it.

Open, update and tidy up views

The Views menu lists My views and the views Shared with project. While one is open the button shows its name after Viewing:, and adds (edited) once you change something.

Choose Update to keep the changes, or the × beside it to stop viewing. For the view you are on, the menu can also Rename…, Share with project, Stop sharing or Delete it.
